Breaking Barriers Disability Service is a value-based company offering a range of disability service throughout the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Our programs are tailored to provide individuals living with disabilities and their families services in their best interest and help them live safely and comfortably at home and to actively enjoy their local community.

Our staffs are professional and skilled, they are tasked with the responsibility of empowering the clients and their families through positive interactions and professional relationships.

We understand that everyone who seeks our support is different and their needs are individual to them.

Breaking Barriers Disability Service work with individuals, their carers and others in the community to ensure the best care and support are developed for each individual’s needs.

We all understand the need to focus on the people who use our services and their recovery from mental distress, which is why we involve users of our services in what we do at every level.

Director

Founding our organisation on strong principles and a supportive philosophy was a vision that Lonestar held firmly through his 17 years of experience in the Sector. He believes that empowering people to be the best version of themselves is an inherent quality of Breaking Barriers and essential in ensuring our Clients feel encouraged and supported through their own journeys. Complimenting these skills, Lonestar has completed a Bachelor in Social Science and Human Welfare, Certificates III, IV & a Diploma in Community Services as well as a Diploma of Hospitality & Business Management. Certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Lonestar is passionate about a person-centred approach, matching not just allocating, the best Team to the needs of our Clients.

RUVI MAKONI

RUVI MAKONI

Director

Ruvi has pioneered the development of Breaking Barriers in line with the Values, Mission and Philosophy that forges our point of difference in the sector. Undertaking all internal auditing processes including best practice implementation, Ruvi is at the forefront of driving Breaking Barriers on a path of continual improvement. Holding a Bachelor of Nursing coupled with 10 years of industry experience, Ruvi is well versed in healthcare, disability support and aged care practices. Knowledge, skills and experience that she is more than happy to share with the BBDS Team.

LEE-ANNE MURRAY

LEE-ANNE MURRAY

Operations Manager

Lee-Anne is passionate about working with people with disabilities and their families. She feels privileged to be an important part of their lives. Lee-Anne has 15 years of experience working within the Disability and Aged Care Sector and extensive experience working as a Coordinator of Supports. Additionally, a qualified Registered Nurse, Lee-Anne has worked within a variety of roles in the Health industry for in excess of a decade.

RENAY MCPARLAND

RENAY MCPARLAND

HR Officer

Renay has more than 15 years of Human Resource Generalist experience from the Employment, Vocational Education and Legal sectors before she joined the Disability Services Industry. With qualifications in Certificate III & IV in Business Administration (Legal) and a Diploma in Human Resource Management, Renay is poised to bring a professional yet friendly approach to the Breaking Barriers Team. An eye for detail with Auditing & Presentation experience, Renay is passionate about helping people with disabilities to achieve their goals.

Accounting

Rutendo Chigwededza has a Bachelor of Management and major in Accounting. Rutendo also has over 10 years of experience working in Accounting.
